It's fall y'all: where pumpkin patches, cozy sweaters and fall activities are all buzzing with excitement! This fall we have DIY Art, Fall Wardrobe Must Haves, the best Southern Pumpkin Patches and Smock Candy's Pumpkin Patch Etiquette for you to enjoy.
TIME FOR THE FESTIVITIES TO BEGIN
Let's get artsy and make your fall art to decorate your home as we all get excited to change decor when the weather changes. Que the pumpkin spice lattes and candles.
DIY FALL LEAF ART
1- Pick out several leaves from your yard or neighborhood park.
2- Grab 2 white sheets of paper and your favorite color crayons.
Tip- choose colors that coordinate with your home so you can leave up longer.
3- Roll the crayons over the leaves.
4- Repeat if your feeling crafty!
5- Add the finished artwork into a frame for a memorable keepsake that you can cherish for years to come.
Fall Wardrobe Must Haves
To kick off the pumpkin spice season, now is the time to stock up on your pumpkin wardrobe must-haves. In the south, somedays you may find yourself bundling up in a cozy sweater or light jacket while most days you still feel like it’s still summer. Before the temperatures drop, make sure to check out your local pumpkin patches for some fun activities. Take a hayride, pick the perfect pumpkin, or take loads of pictures in the pumpkin patch - whatever you decide, you’ll be sure to have a blast. We have broken down the best part of each pumpkin patch, but be sure to click the state to see all that the farm has to offer.
Best Part of 4D Farms:
Something different each weekend! From Flying Dog Show, Circus, Cowboy & Rhinestone Roper, Ventriloquist, Dance Party, to Pumpkin Destruction Day we are sure there is a unique experience for everyone.
Best Part of Pebbles Farm:
Over 60 acres of pumpkins that you can pick from and a 20 acre corn maze that is handout each year! This pumpkin patch even has a pumpkin blaster and paintball arcade, plus horse and wagon rides through the sunflower and pumpkin patch fields.
Best Part of Uncle Shucks:
15-acre Corn Maze plus a Kiddy Maze! You can climb Tire Mountain or stay for the Bonfires & Marshmallows or the Haunted Trail if you dare!
Best Part of CM Farms:
Besides all of the fall activities, this place is Photo-Opt Heaven! The hay bails are a work of art! Plus there is an historic farmstead, a corn maze farm animals. With over 50 attractions no wonder this farm has made the must see list.
Best Part of Mitchell Farms:
Farm fun this fall! That's right - an animal barn, tractor slide racer, goat castle, along with wagon tours, corn maze and a Cinderella Pumpkin! Start a family tradition that you and your kids will always remember.
Best Part of Mike's Farm:
Saturdays on the Farm!
Every Saturday throughout the month they will have hayrides around the farm, pumpkin picking, live music, and more!
Best Part of Boone Hall Farms:
This festival has grown to be one of the largest fall festivals in the state! WIth a GIANT Starling Chevrolet 8-Acre Corn Maze, Ask a Farmer Interactive Series, Comedy Circus, All American Pig Races, Farm Football and Rubber Duck Races - don't forget your pumpkin!!
Best Part of walden Pumpkin Farm:
All aboard the Pumpkin Train!
Take a barrel ride on a fun path around the corn maze. You can also enjoy the Tennessee Slip n Slide, Hay Mountain, Duck Races, Calf Roping, and the Animal Barn.

Rule #1 Don’t hold your pumpkin by the handle. It might break!
Rule #2 Don’t get dirty … until you’ve taken your pumpkin patch pics in your Smock Candy outfit.
Rule #3 Have a Pumpkin Patch Contest - Find the 1-biggest, 2-weirdest, 3-roundest pumpkin. Mom decides the winners!
